Our first maternity photo shoot came to us by our favorite type of marketing – word of mouth. 

When I (Jacki) got a facebook message from an old friend who saw we were doing portraits I was so excited. When she told us her best friend moved close to us and asked us to take her maternity pictures I was even more excited! Our first paid shoot!  

After emails, then texts back and forth, we met at her maternity session.  I felt like I knew her already.

They were the most perfect little family. Katie, her husband Sean, and their three year old who has the most piercing blue eyes. Katie had the cutest little belly bump and was wearing a beautiful off the shoulder maxi dress and her son and husband were coordinating to a “t”!

The two of them were absolute naturals and followed our cues.  And Sean was willing to pose the way we asked every time.  Their little guy was having a blast running around. And he would run up to his dad for a hug we would snap as many pictures as we could. He loved his dad so much and would come up to him for hugs all the time. He was also very intrigued by his mom’s bump and would occasionally come over and touch it briefly. 

As Ryan and I were shooting, the fact that they clearly were so head over heels with each other was evident in all of our pictures.  Sean absolutely adored his wife and it made us swoon (ok, it made me swoon- ha!).  After we wrapped, we couldn’t stop talking about their shoot while we were driving away.  Ryan even asked if it would be weird to ask Sean for a beer after social distancing was over! We’re hoping for a yes!
