Our latest senior shoot is through family! Yasmina is the niece, of my (Jacki’s) ex-husband and I’ve known her since the early 2000’s. When I realized she was a senior my brain exploded a bit, since I hadn’t talked to her mom (who is awesome by the way) in a year or two. And I feel like it was yesterday watching her play the viola for the middle school open house!
Setting up Yasmina’s senior shoot was no problem, actually executing it was! Once again, it didn’t rain all summer, and then rain. We would schedule, then it would rain, then rain on our rain date! Finally we had a clear day, and made the most of it!
Our senior shoot was in downtown Fredericksburg and Chatham Manor. The cool vibes of old town matched Yasmina’s attitude perfectly. She is such a fun and gorgeous young woman, and fit in perfectly with the backdrop of the little town.
We started on Caroline street and made our way around. Unfortunately, Ryan and my favorite coffee shop, 25 30 Espresso, was already closed. We would have loved to introduce both Yasmina and her mom to it as they are both coffee lovers. But we used their vibrant wall as a perfect backdrop for a few sets. Because why not?
As we were walking around, it came up that Yasmina is super crafty in diy’ing her jeans. And her and her mom often work together to bring super cute ideas to life. The jeans she wore were men’s jeans with an elastic band pulled through them and I thought they were adorable!
