Ryan and I loved our downtown Fredericksburg senior portrait session with Lauren!  

These were actually supposed to happen early June. I (Jacki) was hopeful it would be a mild summer and boy was I wrong.  It went from pretty ok early summer to full on summer days.  High humidity and super hot.  Neither of those things mix well with trying to take beautiful pictures. 

Fast forward to five reschedules – it never rains, except when we have sessions scheduled haha!  But the end of August gave us one of the best weeks to work with.  We shot it downtown Fredericksburg.  A perfect backdrop for her prom gown that she never got to wear.  When her mom asked if she could wear her gown in some of the pictures we thought it would be a great idea, and it was!  Lauren looked like a princess in her dress, and using the old town streets was the perfect backdrop to draw all the attention to her. Seriously, if you have a prom dress and want to wear it, when you schedule your Fredericksburg Senior Session, you can wear it!

In between sets of pictures her younger sister would step in and help fix her hair and makeup.  It reminded me of me and my sisters when we were younger and I loved it.  We caught some behind the scenes of them and I’m so glad we did because her mom really loved them and they were very special to her.  Ryan and I always try to capture the moments in between as well for reasons just like that.  And when you have two main shooters, it’s much easier to grab those.  

Getting Lauren’s personality on camera wasn’t hard at all, she is such an easy going girl who laughs a lot.  What we can’t show, we can tell, Lauren is an incredibly smart girl with a great work ethic.  Along with being super intelligent she is also very creative, she decorates shoes and has an instagram showing all her talent!
